Amundi, AuM`s largest asset manager in Europe, has signed a binding agreement with UniCredit to acquire Pioneer Investments for a cash payment of 3,545 million euros. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2017. Following the opening of exclusive negotiations announced on 5 December 2016, UniCredit announces that it has successfully signed a binding agreement with Amundi for the sale of Pioneer: the purchase price paid by Amundi will be 3,545 million euros and UniCredit will receive an exceptional dividend of 315 million euros before the transaction distributed by Pioneer.
